A video circulating on social media has captured the moment residents of Osogbo, Osun State, gathered around a man suspected of impersonating a military officer.

According to eyewitness accounts in the viral footage, the incident began when a woman raised an alarm, alleging that the man was a bandit operating within the area. Her claims quickly attracted the attention of passersby and residents, leading to a crowd forming around the suspect.

The man was reportedly wearing what appeared to be a military uniform, prompting further suspicion among members of the public. Some residents alleged that the uniform was fake, although the claim has not been independently verified by security authorities.

As tensions escalated, the suspect was subjected to harassment and physical assault by some members of the crowd before police officers intervened.

In the video, law enforcement personnel can be seen taking the man into custody and escorting him away from the scene to prevent further attacks.
