Manchester United Confirm André Onana's Loan Return to Trabzonspor
Manchester United have confirmed that goalkeeper André Onana has rejoined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan for the 2026/27 campaign.
The Premier League club announced that the transfer remains subject to international clearance and registration before it is officially completed.
In a statement, Manchester United confirmed that the Cameroon international will spend the upcoming season with Trabzonspor as both clubs finalise the remaining administrative procedures.
Onana returns to Papara Park after an impressive loan spell with the Turkish outfit last season.
The 30-year-old made 40 appearances across all competitions, playing a key role as Trabzonspor secured a third-place finish in the Turkish Süper Lig and lifted the Turkish Cup.
The goalkeeper joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023 and has since made 102 appearances for the English club.
Manchester United wished the experienced shot-stopper success for the new season as he prepares for another campaign in Turkey.
Reports indicate that the loan agreement could earn the Red Devils up to £1.3 million, although the deal does not include an option for Trabzonspor to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
Onana will now be aiming to build on his impressive performances from last term as Trabzonspor prepare to compete domestically and in European competitions during the 2026/27 season.
